Scrapbook paper is an easy and inexpensive way to decorate your table for a dinner party!
I absolutely love entertaining people in my home!
From planning the menu to decorating the table, I just adore a good dinner party.
For a big holiday meal I will go all out and have a professional florist do my centerpiece and I will rent tableware if need be. But most of the time I am looking for something simple and inexpensive to add a touch of color or whimsy to my table decor.
One of my favorite tricks is using scrapbook paper as place mats and napkin holders!
I usually head over to my local craft store and find some colorfully patterned paper and then use a border punch to create a napkin ring.
In this table display, I knew I wanted to to find something in shades of green or turquoise, because I think it looks good with the crazy orange wallpaper seen in the background.
I found the patterned paper (on sale!) first, and then I made the napkin rings.
Finally I threaded a ribbon through the paper and tied it in the back.
It is just that easy!
Though this tablescape is very fresh and spring-like, obviously it can easily be changed to suit any season or holiday!
For Christmas you could use red and green striped scrapbook paper! For Halloween you could find some scary paper and then use this punch to make napkin rings that look like drippy goo!
The ideas are endless!
And that, kittens, is a simple and inexpensive way to easily decorate your table using scrapbook paper. Let me know if any of you end up using this idea for your dinner parties. I would love to see pictures of how you decorate.
