We are finally done with The Glamorous Housewife Year In Review!
Here are the final two months of November and December for you. As you can see, I continued my Making It Modern series and had a lot of other holiday specific articles to help homemakers make their winter holidays glamorous!
In this episode I recreated a pumpkin chiffon pie with toasted coconut. Then I used the filling as inspiration and designed a Paleo pumpkin mousse using coconut milk as the base!
I think this was the first time I liked the vintage recipe as much as the modern one!
One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is creating a beautiful Thanksgiving tablescape. In this article I show you four ways to create a gasp-worthy centerpiece on a budget!
I have terrible melasma which creates dark splotches on my face.
It is fairly common in women, especially if they have been pregnant and/or are on the pill because it is somehow connected to our hormones.
My case has been quite difficult to deal with, but I found a product that I adore and wanted to tell the world about it! If you have melasma you should read all about it and see my before/after pics on how the Rodan + Fields cream worked!
This is by far my favorite episode of Making It Modern. Not because of the food I cooked, but because this episode has a personal and hilarious story to go with it. If you haven’t seen any of my Making It Modern videos, then THIS is the one to watch!
A few weeks ago I came out with my newest e-book entitled: WillPOWER: Become an expert at being AWESOME!. I wanted to show you a few tips on growing and strengthening your willpower so I started with an article about setting goals.
Though I now am focusing my YouTube channel on my Making It Modern series, before that I created a ton of other videos including quite a few on how I do my make-up. If you are interested, be sure to click HERE to see seven of my glamorous looks from throughout the years.
This time the gelatin was unflavored and paired with canned beets. Yuck!
To make it modern I roasted some earthy beets and dressed them in a horseradish vinaigrette. If you like beets you will love this salad!
Though the title is all about latkes, to be honest I think the three dips I created would be just as amazing with potato chips or cut vegetables!
A year ago I wrote an article about how I was struggling with alcohol. I was borderline addicted and wanted to nip my issue in the bud.
Throughout the year I got various emails asking me how I was doing with cutting back on alcohol and this is my follow up post.
For my final episode of Making It Modern, I changed things up a bit. Instead of recreating a vintage dish and then using it to inspire a new recipe, I only made these sparkling Sugar Plum Puffs and then showed a few modern ways of wrapping them so you could give them as gifts to your friends and neighbors.
