“Sometimes a hug is all you need to make you feel better”
I’m a cuddler.
There is nothing I would rather be doing that laying on my couch and cuddling with any of my children, or husband, or dog.
Actually, one of the reasons we got a dog is because my two boys have pretty much grown out of the cuddling stage (though they still like a hug once in while. But don’t tell anyone, they need to keep up their “street cred”.) and my daughter is quickly approaching that age when she will no longer come running home from school and curl up in my arms.
So I got a pet who will let me snuggle for as long as I like.
So what does the satisfying feeling of cuddling have to do with something as mundane as sweaters?
It is in my opinion that sweaters are the hugs of the clothing family.
Hear me out.
A hug is someone holding you in a warm, fuzzy embrace.
Isn’t this essentially what a sweater does?
Obviously a sweater is no substitute for cuddling with a loved one, but it is a way to be enfolded in something that is quite similar to an embrace; it keeps your body warm and comfortable, and if you have the right ones, you will feel loved and comforted.
Isn’t it time you invested in a new hug, I mean sweater, this season?
