For the past few years I have put out a Halloween Costume Guide for the vintage loving gal and this year is no different.
In years past I just did a round-up of pictures I found on Pinterest so this year I wanted to change things up a bit. I decided to partner with Unique-Vintage and show you how easy it is to look fabulous on Halloween using items you probably already have in your closet, and if not, all the items are linked to where you can purchase them. The main component of each costume is from Unique-Vintage, which has some of the best vintage inspired clothing at an excellent price!
And the best news is, one lucky winner will be receiving a $50 gift card to Unique Vintage! How cool is that? All you have to do is check out Unique-Vintage’s Facebook and then comment below. Next Friday October 23 I will announce the winner via The Glamorous Housewife Facebook. This contest is available world wide but you must be 18 to enter.
Alice In Wonderland
One of my favorite books is Alice In Wonderland because there are just so many great quotes in it. Plus who hasn’t imagined themselves as Alice at least once in their life? Now you can dress like her for Halloween starting with this gorgeous blue dress (that color looks fabulous on almost everyone) and a white apron or pinafore.
I saw Maleficent in the movie theater and loved it. If you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend it. For those of you who want to be both evil and sexy on Halloween, I think Maleficent is the perfect costume for you. Plus all you need is a sexy black 1930s inspired gown, a headdress, and a cape! I couldn’t resist adding those shoes because they were just too perfect.
Though everyone raves about having to own a little black dress, personally I am much more fond of a little red dress. Maybe it’s because I live in Los Angeles where things are much more informal, but a LBD can just be so dour sometimes. But a little red dress is bright and fun and classy! My point is, you should really have a red dress in your closet, and if you don’t then this one is perfect for you! Plus you can use it to be a Russian doll by adding a bright scarf and apron. Plus the makeup in the inspiration picture is divine!
For those of you with closets full of boho chic, you should have no problems putting a few items together to become a fortune teller. I mean who doesn’t have a flowy maxi dress, a head wrap, and a ton of beaded necklaces? If you don’t have a crystal ball, just keep a set of Tarot cards in your purse.
And there you have five easy Halloween costumes for the vintage loving gal.
So who do you think you will dress up as this year?
