Time for the second episode of my cooking show, Making It Modern!
In today’s video I recreate a strange appetizer from the 1960s and then use it as inspiration to make a much better looking and tasting prosciutto and fresh mozzarella spears with pineapple.
As you can tell from the video, the sausage boatees were surprisingly delicious but very difficult to eat. I also have to mention that I had a really difficult time finding the right sized sausage because little hot dogs are too small, and a regular sausage was too big. The ones you see in the video are actually breakfast sausages!
What I liked about the modern prosciutto spears is how easy they are to both make and eat. I made the ones you see in the video the night before and then wrapped them in plastic. They looked perfect the next day!
