It’s time for another installment of “What I Wore” in which I show you a few of my daily outfits!
Spring has come very early to Southern California. I blame global warming, but to be totally honest, I am kind of loving it because it gives me a chance to wear all of my pretty spring outfits.
I have a difficult time getting dressed when it is cold out. I usually end up wearing pants and frankly, pants don’t look that great on me and I find them to be somewhat uncomfortable. Then when you add a shirt and a sweater I feel like a tic ready to pop! Dresses and skirts are much more my forte so when the weather is warm I revel in it!
One of the nicer things about dressing in a classic style is that my wardrobe is fairly timeless. Most of the items you will see below were purchased over the last few summers but you would never know it because the shapes are always in style. Though I do spend a fair amount on my clothing, I also get a lot of wear out of my garments because they are classic.
Due to the fact a lot of these items sold out long ago I tried to find similar styles for you to purchase if you love one of my outfits and they are linked below each photograph.
White eyelet dresses have been in vogue ever since Kate Middleton wore one last spring. I purchased mine last season and love it. The only issue is white tends to show dirt so I save this dress for days when I know I will be at the office and not cooking or crafting.
Another outfit that is 100% comprised of old garments. The good news is ModCloth has the most adorable nautical skirt which I linked above. If I didn’t already have this one I would totally purchase that one!
Finally, something new. I am a bit obsessed with Boden because I find their clothing fits my body really well. I wear a size 6 in Boden and rarely have to get anything taken up or in. This housedress comes in a few other colors/patterns, so be sure to click on the link above to check them out.
I am going horseback riding in a few weeks, therefore I needed a pair of pants to wear so I went with these retro inspired cuffed jeans by Unique Vintage. I purchased a medium and they are only a wee bit tight. If I lost another pound or two they would be perfection. With that said, I am guessing the large would be too big. They are high waisted which I like because it smooths out my lumps and bumps and gets rid of muffin top.
By the way, I made a video on how to do the hair which you can see HERE and click to 5:25.
This was my outfit for a sort of business meeting/conference/networking event with my YouTube Partner: Kin Community. I posted this pic on Instagram because I couldn’t decide if I should wear the green or the yellow shoes. I went with the green because they were just slightly more comfortable and businessy.
Speaking of Instagram, if you want to see my daily outfits before I post them here on my blog, come follow me because I post there first and then when I have enough I put them up here. Plus you get to see the “behind the scenes” of The Glamorous Housewife daily life!
