Decorate your home for spring using this simple spring pom pom garland tutorial.

The kids were pretty disappointed when we had to pack up our Christmas tree but I promised that we’d decorate for spring this year to make up for it. I started spring cleaning a little early in my craft room and found a bunch of yarn in my stash in small amounts but gorgeous colors. Today I’ll show you how to stash bust your yarn leftovers and make an easy spring pom pom garland.
Spring Pom Pom Garland Tutorial
You will need:
- a large serving fork
- yarn in a pretty spring colorway
- a yarn needle
Wrap the yarn in and out of the tines of the fork
Wrap the yarn around the fork about 100 times.
Slide the yarn ball off and tie a strand of yarn around the middle as tight as you can.
Slide the scissors into the loops and snip them in half
You’ll end up with a pretty messy, shaggy poof ball!
Trim the ends of the yarn and roll it around in your hand to fluff it out until you have a perfect round pom pom. It helps to do this over a trash can to avoid a mess of yarn bits all over the place.
Thread a long strand of yarn (As long as you want your garland to be) on the yarn needle and insert the needle through each of the centers of the pom poms. Slide the pom poms into place and space them evenly apart.
Then hang your spring pom pom garland wherever you decide to decorate! I thought my pom pom garland looked festive on my mantle.
