Here is everything you might need to throw a vintage inspired Easter party. It includes decor, party favor, and food ideas.
One of the most difficult things about being a Jew is not being able to participate in the pomp and circumstance that surround Christian holidays.
For example, Easter has the best decorations and food; the cute bunny rabbits, adorable birdies and nests, pastels and the perfectly decorated Easter eggs! I love it all!
That isn’t to say I don’t also adore decorating for Passover because I do. I love throwing together a gorgeous Seder table as well as cooking a huge feast to commemorate the Jews being freed from slavery. But to be completely honest, there is a lot of darkness in the story of Passover and it is considered somewhat of a solemn occasion. Easter just seems so happy and bright in comparison!
I decided to write a post that describes how I would put together a vintage inspired Easter party if I celebrated this holiday. I figured it might get it out of my system, plus inspire you for your own Easter celebration. Please enjoy!
Vintage Easter Party Decoration
I wanted to start with home and table decor. I went through Pinterest and found the most magical vintage inspired decorations to decorate your home as well as your table. I used “spring nest” as a theme, which is why everything that follows has a nest as the focal point. Click on each photograph to be taken the the original source.
Little nests under glass cloches would be beautiful as a table centerpiece or as a vignette on your bookshelf.
Loved these thread and twig nests. I would have these on each person’s place settings. Click HERE for directions.
These twine easter nest baskets are divine! So simple to recreate!
As a party gift you could fill vintage molds with a basket, some candy eggs, and a vintage Easter postcard!
Here is another way to incorporate vintage molds, nests, and Easter eggs.

Aren’t these vintage looking sparkly Easter eggs lovely?
An easy way to decorate Easter eggs is to use printed paper napkins. Love the vintage print on these.
How about adding some old book pages or newsprint, then tying a bit of twine around and adding some vintage fabric flowers? You could also use sheet music instead of book pages.
Easter Brunch Inspiration
What is a vintage inspired Easter party without food? I know many people have guests over for brunch on Easter Sunday, so I put together a menu based on spring produce and bright festive flavors.
For appetizers start with cucumber and smoked salmon bites.
A mango and blueberry quinoa salad is light and refreshing.
This corn and zucchini pie is both easy to make and filling.
Greek yogurt lemon cake is a sweet end to a savory meal.
And finally, be sure to have plenty of fresh fruit for both the adults and the children. Isn’t using ice cream cones as a container a clever idea?
What better way to celebrate Easter than with a mimosa toast?
I don’t know about you, but I think this would be an amazing vintage inspired Easter party!
