I thought it would be fun to go back through the history of The Glamorous Housewife and bring to you ten of my favorite ideas for Valentine’s Day. From food to decor, I’ve got a bunch of tips and tricks to make your holiday full of love and vintage gorgeousness.
I have a fairly large collection of vintage and retro Valentine’s day decorations which I put up in my kitchen nook every year. I usually add one or two new items a year. Can you imagine how full the shelves will look in 2020?
Not only do the shelves get decorated, but the windows also get a touch of love.
Last year I made these vintage inspired medallions. Aren’t they adorable?
It was amusing to look back on early posts to see how far my photographing skills have come. This is a fun little glitter heart project that I did years ago and the pictures are horrible, but the idea is still a good one.
This is an easy way to add some Valentine’s glamour to your home. All you need to do is have two vases that fit inside of each other. Then in the space between the vases you fill it with candy hearts. Then put flowers in the smaller vase and voila! A gorgeous Valentine’s day bouquet!
Last year I threw a kid friendly Valentine’s day dinner by having a cheese fondue followed by a chocolate fondue. Who doesn’t love dipping their food in a luscious sauce?
One of the first videos I ever created was a tutorial on making lace heart pancakes for Valentine’s Day. This is a fun way to make your Valentine’s morning special.
For those of you who are vegetarian, I made this veggie tart in the shape of a heart. Easy and delicious!
What would Valentine’s day be without dessert? Why not try this fun raspberry chocolate trifle?
Or you can make this homemade red velvet ice cream. The color is perfect for this day of love.
No matter how you celebrate, I am sure you your loved ones will appreciate it.
