Superbowl Sunday is quickly approaching, but to be totally honest, sports just aren’t my thing. I really could care less about football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and pretty much every other sport except the occasional ice skating or gymnastics. But I do like a good party. So I thought it would be fun to throw a Super Bowl party for my girl friends and the theme would be “bowls”. I had all the guests bring a new wrapped bowl and we exchanged them during the party, which everyone got to take home with them. I made a video of the party which explains everything that you need to know to throw your own Super Bowl party.
We all had a really fun time! Who doesn’t like to get together with their girl friends, exchange gifts, have some food, and drink cocktails in the middle of the day? And the best part is, we didn’t have to watch football!
My favorite part of the party was the craft. As you could see in the video, we decorated simple white bowls using Sharpie markers. They are not dishwasher safe, but I was thinking of using mine as a jewelry container.
I also had a blast making all the decorations. I love the girly aspect to the pink and gold and thought it added such a festive touch to the shindig.
I also wanted to give a shout-out to Rubbermaid because not only did they help pay for this post, I seriously use their products all the time. I find it to be very helpful to make as much as I can ahead of time and store the food in Rubbermaid containers. The picture above shows the components to the chopped salad, which I diced a full day ahead of the party.
The good news for you is there is currently a special being run on Target where you can get $1 off any Rubbermaid container and $1 off any 4 pack or more of Sharpies if you text “coupons” to Target. Just enter “Target” where you would normally put a phone number. The coupons runs from today through February 8th. Yay!
