Daily Outfits: Autumn Edition
It’s been a really long time since I did a daily outfit post! Here in Los Angeles, the weather is still quite lovely. As a matter of fact, today it is probably in the low 70s, so I haven’t really had much of a chance to wear anything that appropriate for fall. Though the fox sweater (similar here) and plaid skirt was about as close as I could get to what most of you are probably wearing right now. I purchased everything last year, but I had never worn the sweater with that particular necklace (similar here) or shoes. That is one of the things I like best about having a classic wardrobe- very little goes out of style. The sweater is on the modern side, but the skirt will be able to be worn until it falls apart!
Here is something new! I just purchased this dress the other day (here) and it is my new favorite! There is the most beautiful shade of green running through the plaid, so I accessorized with a pair of shoes and a necklace (on sale here) in a similar sage green shade. When it gets colder I can wear this dress with a shirt underneath and/or a cardigan.
I am kinda obsessed with capri pants. I have quite a few pairs and find they are quite chic, especially as compared to skinny jeans. I wore this pair (similar here) with a navy polka dotted shirt, a sparkly necklace (similar on sale here), and a pair of rose gold flats.
I wasn’t sure if this dress would be too floral for winter, but with the black background, I think it works. Though the dress is new (here) I find it very reminiscent of the 1940s. The fabric is rayon, so it doesn’t get wrinkly, which will be great for traveling. The shoes were purchased last year from Miss L. Fire.
I leave you with what I wore to a charity dinner held at our local CB2 in Hollywood. The dress is no longer available, but the shoes are new and they are fabulous (here)! The hat is vintage.
So there you have a few snaps of what I have been wearing recently. Some of the outfits veer more into retro territory, like the rose dress with the black background, but I think most are just classic pieces that suit my frame and keep me looking glamorous all day long.
