The Glamorous Housewife Attends The Opening Of The New Miss L Fire Boutique!
Last Wednesday I felt just like Dita Von Teese! I was invited to an exclusive event: The opening of the Miss L Fire flagship store in Hollywood! For those of you who have never heard of Miss L Fire before, this is my favorite line of vintage inspired shoes. They have the most comfortable and glamorous heels, lovely flats, and all of them are glorious to behold. When I wear one of my many pairs of Miss L Fires, I am always stopped by women exclaiming, “where did you get those wonderful shoes?”!
Just look at these details! I seriously want all three pairs.
Let me give you a little tour of the new store:
Here is a bird’s eye view of the entire space. As you can see, it isn’t the biggest store, but it is perfectly decorated with a vintage deco vibe.
Notice the sign for the fitting room? So perfectly 20s! This is the jewelry display and checkout counter.
Jewelry at a shoe store? Yes! It was all I could do to keep myself from buying every single piece right then and there!
Aren’t those seriously the most fabulous necklaces ever! I am going back next week to buy the mushroom necklace so don’t any of you dare buy it first!
Besides jewelry, Miss L Fire also sells cosmetics…..
clothing, and even vintage inspired stocking from What Katie Did! It is seriously like a dream boutique.
But what about the shoes? Oh they have them all right! There are shoes, shoes, and more shoes!
Notice the bird sandal on the right? The ones everyone obsesses over when I wear them? Miss L Fire!
Hello lovah! (points for whomever can tell me from where I got this phrase? Hint: TV show)
Seriously, you know you want every. single. pair. Amiright?
Previously the only way to get Miss L Fire shoes in the States was to wait until Anthro, Modcloth, or Trashy Diva had them in stock, and even then there wasn’t the full collection available. Or you could ship from the UK, but I know I ran into customs problems. So now all I have to do is schlep up to Hollywood and Vermont to get my shoe fix! So excited!
As for what I wore to this fabulous party, I decided on my new Trashy Diva Hawaiian dress (here) and my favorite pair of, what else, Miss L Fire shoes! The necklace is old from J. Crew and the purse is vintage and used to be my grandmothers! It is one of my most prized possessions.
If any of you dolls are in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend stopping at the new Miss L Fire boutique. I assure you there will be no disappointment, only loads and loads of shoes!
Want more? Here is a little video I made of the party. Lynsey Hand, the owner and shoe designer can be seen getting dipped in the blue dress. Here is fantastic interview with her.
