It’s time for more daily outfits! If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen these before, but I still like to post them here because I can link to where I got most of the items I wear, so you too can be a glamorous housewife! For this black and white ensemble, I wore a Kate Spade shirt I got on sale (here). Now I know I did a knock off DIY of this shirt, but when it went on sale I still loved it so I went ahead and purchased it. I am wearing it with a black circle skirt that I consider a basic and think every single one of you should own. You can get it here. The shoes (here) are my new favorite summer wedge and I actually bought two pairs because they are so comfortable and I am afraid I will wear them out quickly. Oh, I thought I should mention I got the earrings at Old Navy! Seriously!
Well, there you see the same shoes. I told you I love them! The pants are from Banana Republic and are unfortunately sold out in black, but they still have that same cut in other fabrics (here). The shirt is from Anthro, and I’ve got good news! It is now on sale (here)! I actually own two of these shirts which you can see below.
See! Same shirt as above, but in a different colorway and also on sale (here)! The pants are also the same ones as above, but in navy. I have mentioned in the past that I think it is important to have a uniform because it really helps save time when you are getting dressed in the morning. As you can see, right now my uniform is cropped pants and patterned tee shirts. Once it gets hot, my uniform will change to sun dresses. The shoes are from Ross and the brooch was my great grandmothers.
Did you see my garden post yesterday? This is what I wore. I have a collection of graphic tee shirts from ModCloth (here) because I find tee shirt art to be wonderful. I have always worn tee shirts because they are comfortable and don’t have to be inelegant. Now I happen to be wearing them with a pair of unflattering pants, but throw on a pencil skirt and suddenly I look chic! The shoes are Liberty Print for Bensimon and they seem to be sold out, but you can get other Bensimon shoes here. And look! I attempted a victory roll!
As I mentioned earlier in the week, I have a serious collection of garden print dresses. This dress is from last season, but I did an entire round-up of floral dresses here. The purse was from my trip last summer to Italy, but the good news is you can get the shoes! They are the most beautiful shade of blue and I adore them (here)! They are incredibly comfortable for running around town. I even have them in a burgundy corduroy. As you can see, if I find something that I love I have no problem buying the same thing in a different colorway or even buying a second pair for when the first pair gets worn out. That is the nice thing about dressing in a vintage style- it never goes out of fashion because it is already outside the trends! I believe this ultimately saves money over time and you will always look classy.
I know this isn’t a picture of my outfit, it is a picture of a towel. But I took a picture of it and posted it on Instagram last weekend and many dear readers were wondering where to get it. So I thought you might be interested in the towel and you can get it here. I also liked this towel here. They are on the pricey side, but the towel is incredibly soft and well made.
So there you have it! A few of my daily outfits and a towel. As you can see, I often repeat styles and definitely follow my own advice and wear a uniform. So my question to you is, do you wear a uniform, and if so what does it consist of?
