My architect, Lewin Wertheimer had his photographer Doug Hill take some amazing photos of my home while we were in Scottsdale and I just had to share them! Here is the front of the house with the wisteria blooming. I cant wait until it covers the entire balcony.
Here is the “formal” living room (as opposed to the TV room). The intention was for this to be where the adults congregate when we have people over, but my kids have taken it over because we didn’t want them playing their video games around the baby. I still have it decorated more formally then the rest of the house, but it usually is much more cluttered than this.
Through the living room is the dining room. You can see the same room from the other end here.
Finally, a decent kitchen shot! For some reason they left my kitchen out of the Country Living magazine spread. Not sure why because I think it is so pretty!
Across from the kitchen island is our eat in nook. This is where we eat most meals. Isn’t it colorful?
This is the first shot Ive posted of our staircase, mainly because I couldnt figure out how to take a decent picture. I guess it really needed a professional to capture it.
Here is our master bedroom. They put a similar shot in the magazine, but I like this one better because it has more color and pattern. The duvet cover is from Serena & Lily (here)
I’ve shown my bathroom in bits and pieces, but this is the best shot of the room I have ever seen! This is the only room in the house with pink, the rest of the home is colored in yellow, blue, and green. I just really wanted a princess bathroom and my husband was cool with it.
The photographer also got a great shot of the boy’s bathroom. I supposed I should call it the “kids” bathroom now that I have a daughter, but we always refer to it as the “boys” bathroom and I have a feeling that the name is stuck like glue. Maybe when the boys move out I will have it repainted in pink for Ella!
Here is the house lit up at night. I would love to get Doug to come back and take pictures when it is decorated for the holidays. We have pretty lights strung up and the whole house glows.
The only room I have yet to show everyone is my TV room. I guess it isn’t very photogenic! That is where we spend most of our time and it has toys and a changing table, and a desk, etc so not very pretty. Well, there you have it: the home of The Glamorous Housewife.
