It was a very eclectic week here on The Glamorous Housewife. Sunday was the Super Bowl so I decided to do a little tongue-in-cheek post on some “super bowls“. I also posted my weekly post called, “Why Don’t You” which is just a frivolous fun post on some different ideas that you can do over the week. Sometimes they are funny, sometimes I am just being silly, but mostly they are to inspire you to try something new. Valentine’s Day is quickly upon us and I managed to decorate my kitchen nook which I shared with you kittens here. My theme this year was “doilies”. Can you tell? I also posted my annual “Little Red Dress” post with some stunning frocks that you must take a look at if you haven’t done so already. I finally got around to writing part 6 of my “How To Have A Good Marriage” series as well as whipped up a little Kate Spade knock-off t-shirt. Now I am looking forward to a nice weekend and hopefully I won’t have any sick kids at home. Did I not mention that one of my kids has been home sick all week? The good news is I was online for an excessive amount of time and I have a ton of favorite links to share with you!
Weekly Link Round-Up
I found this article on how vintage is not for everybody, (only those of us who appreciate some awesome) to be very inspiring. I have a feeling most of you will relate to the author’s words.
Keeping with the whole vintage clothing theme, I thought this tutorial on the basics of dating a vintage garment was excellent. I have read plenty of these articles but this one is one of the best I have found because it has very clear pictures, explains the thought process, and shows how difficult it can be to narrow a garment down to an exact date.
LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO ANNE SHIRLEY!!!!! I am totally horrified as I am sure you are as well. BLONDE? My eyes are burning!!!!
A friend of mine wrote this article about the social aspects of the GoDaddy Super Bowl commercial where a hot chick kisses an unattractive man. Would they have ever done a commercial where a really good looking guy kisses an ugly chick? A very interesting thought.
Did you know the baby monitor was invented in 1937? Me neither!
I leave you with five of the funniest Amazon product reviews. I have posted the banana slicer before, but the rest are just as hilarious so be sure not to be drinking anything when you read this article lest you snarf your drink. I hope you all have a wonderful and glamorous weekend!
