As you know, I was at Altitude Summit last week and needless to say, I dressed for the occasion. Altitude Summit is a gathering of some of the most creative and fashionable people on the internet, so I figured I should step it up a notch. I started with my pink and sparkly airplane outfit. I purchased some new pants (here) which have sailor pockets and a nice flair at the leg. I paired it with a pink sweater with a large white collar (here) and a pair of my favorite flats. The flats are sold-out but you can see a similar pair here.
For the first day of the conference I wanted to be sure to wear a fun color so I went with this dark peacock green shirt (here) and bright floral skirt (here). The boutineer is from Etsy (here) and the shoes are new and very comfortable (here). I highly recommend them if you are looking for a plain comfortable pair of black heels. As for the hair, I went with my quick set (here).
There was a party on Thursday night and the theme was a “Clue” party, like as in the board game. I thought it was a very strange theme until it was explained that we were to dress up in the colors of the characters, like Scarlet, Mustard, and Green. I went with peacock. I purposely wore a plain black dress (here) because I wanted to show you kittens how accessories can make all the difference when getting dressed. For this ensemble I wore a pretty little peacock hair piece (here), a beaded teal necklace (here), a green belt (here), and teal green heels (here) that I decorated with peacock feather shoe clips (here). Though I normally go all out for a costume party, I decided to hold back and have fun looking at the creations others wore instead of flaunting my own fashion.
On Friday I wore one of my favorite dresses because I think it is wonderfully flattering on me. I purchased it this past summer, so it is sold out, but the designer is Karen Walker and you can find her stuff at Anthropologie (here). I adore her use of color and cut to make flattering and vintage styled clothing for women. The shoes are Prada and I got them on Ebay for $60! I also got the necklace on Ebay; it is kind of my new obsession.
There was a second party on Friday night but no theme, so I went super girly in a floral embroidered dress (here) and red cardigan (sold-out). I wore the same shoes as in the peacock outfit only without the clips, and tied the wrist corsage (here) that I made the other night, on my wrist. Unfortunately I was very tired so I only stayed for one glass of champagne and then called it a night.
