Hello my darlings! Have you noticed the week before Christmas is crazy hectic? I know my week was out of control. But the good news is I think I have almost everything done. On the blog things were pretty busy. I started the week with one of my Sunday outfit posts. I have been taking pictures of my daily outfits and putting them on Instagram, but I know many of you don’t have that app, so I also upload them here on Sundays, along with links to where you can get the clothing. On Monday I gave a little of the behind the scenes look on how I redesigned my blog, including links to the artists that worked with me to create the blog you see today. On Tuesday I wrote a little winter pastels round-up. I just love wearing pastels all year long, even in winter. On Wednesday I quickly made some festive shoe clips based on ones I saw at Heyday, and I think they turned out pretty cute! Then on Thursday I spent hours wrapping Christmas gifts and thought you ladies might get a kick out of seeing how I did. Which brings us up to today. I have a few interesting links to share with you so here you go:
I will admit, I love reality TV. I am a sucker for seeing how other people live. So I found this article on the maids, butlers, and nannies of the super rich fascinating. I thought this quote was particularly interesting, ” The nanny transferred to the West Coast, where she easily landed the six-figure “going rate” as the personal assistant and nanny for a stay-at-home mom and fashion blogger.” Um, say what? Does anyone know of a fashion blogger on the West Coast with children that makes enough to pay their nanny six figures? Because it certainly isn’t me! LOL!
Do you find yourself needing to be liked? I know I do- at least to a point. I thought this article on women’s need to be liked vs. being powerful kinda interesting. Thoughts?
Do you ever feel like you are failing as a mother? I know I sometimes do. Well here is why you aren’t failing. If you are a mom or planning on being a mom, this is a must read.
I found this fun Tumblr blog on what we used to eat in the past. Lots of fun vintage food pictures.
And finally I thought I would end the week with some glamour. Enjoy!
