So did you hear Pantone has decided the color for 2013? They went with emerald green. I will admit, I am still stuck in 2010, when the color was my favorite color of turquoise. I even liked last year’s color of “tangerine tango”. Not sure if I am feeling this years color. I like green, I even like most shades of green. But the exact shade they picked seems so dull. So I decided to do a green round-up to try and get on board with this whole green thing and I found some really chic items. Wanna see?
I have had my eye on this dress for a while. I love the green bows and the cut of the dress has a 1940s quality to it. The good news is it is on sale! The bad news is it is still really expensive!
I love the vintage fan pattern on this skirt! I would pair it with a black top and a fun pair of retro shoes.
Speaking of retro shoes, how festive are these emerald green heels by Poetic License? I especially like the sparkly buckle.
Now it isn’t as if the color emerald green has never been seen before. Here is a stunning green 1950s gown that is both elegant and timeless.
If you are like me and aren’t really feeling the whole green thing, you can always add emerald to your accessories. I think this green vintage lucite purse is charming and would add a pop of color to any outfit.
Another way to wear emerald green without looking like a leprechaun is to incorporate the color in your jewelry. I am really into bib necklaces with tee shirts right now. I think they help take a casual outfit to a more glamorous level.
If none of these green items excite then you could always just wear actual emeralds!
So what do you ladies think about Pantone’s color of the year? Does emerald green make you sick or make you swoon? Let me know in the comments.
