How To Create A Pin Up Hair Style Using Hot Rollers
When I first started this blog I did a few pictorial DIYs on how I set my hair to achieve a 1950s pin up style. It’s been a few years and I thought I would update the tutorials with a how-to video. I decided to have almost no editing so you could see exactly how long it takes me to set my hair, and then how long it takes to complete the look after the curlers have cooled down. I believe the video runs at around 10 minutes, which is pretty good for a hot set, if you ask me. I also wanted to mention that in the video I use a travel set of curlers, but I used a tip I learned from Miss Dita and purchased two sets and then switched the larger rolls for smaller ones. So the size of the rollers in the video are all the same and they are all small. Hope you enjoy it!
I watched this terrific video on Youtube a little earlier today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the minimal editing as it really paints a clear picture of the time (which isn’t that long at all) that it takes you to achieve this beautiful hairstyle. My hair is very much like yours. I gave up trying to curl it years ago and embraced the straight…lol… But if I were to do something like this, I wonder how long it would last? How long does your set last?
