It may be the middle of autumn everywhere but here in Los Angeles. We have been hit by a very warm fall so my summer dresses are still being worn. So. Over. It. The dress is sold out on Mod Cloth and I think I got the shoes there too, but ages ago. The purse was purchased on my trip to Florence this past summer and the belt is from Anthro and also sold out. But you can still get the necklace which is now on sale
I was invited to a cocktail party a few nights ago and decided to dress up. The sweater is Milly (sold out) and the pencil skirt is new from target! The shoes are ancient and the necklace is from Mod Cloth (sold out).
The picture on the left is what I call frumpy housewife. All I did to change to The Glamorous Housewife was exchange the sweats for the skirt and belt and add a pair of low heels; just as comfortable and much more elegant.
Ever have those days you just aren’t feeling pretty. Say, once a month? When I feel crummy I throw on this simple jersey dress from Target (years old) and a pair of kicky wedges (Miss L. Fire years old) and add a vintage cherry necklace for color. Simple, easy, and comfortable.
You can probably tell all of these pictures are from my Instagram which is where I have been posting my daily outfits. Many of my darling readers don’t have the app so I repost my favorites here. In this photo I tried the vintage house dress two ways- one with yellow accessories and one with green and then had the ladies on Instagram vote on which way they liked best. Which one would you choose?
