It’s time for another outfit round-up! It got cooler here for like a day or two, but now it is a nice 81 degrees. In October. For real. Hence the tee shirt. The skirt is new from Anthropologie, but they don’t seem to be selling it online. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it is a solid deep plum and is made of a thick jersey so it is incredibly comfortable. I know the shoes are insane but I adore them.
Speaking of shoes, I am still loving my Miss L. Fire heels. I normally don’t wear leopard print, but I just couldn’t resist these darlings. I paired them with a simple black dress I got from Banana Republic (similar here) and a purse from Trina Turk that I got ages ago.
Casual day! I thought I would do a sort of retro thing with some pedal pushers and a tee shirt (similar here). I couldn’t find the exact same shoe because they are fairly old, but the same brand has these for sale. The scarf is vintage from my grandmother.
There are those Miss L. Fire shoes again! This time I wore them with a black skirt ($12.50!) and a striped top with a bow at the neck. It was foggy in the morning so I threw on this redish-orange cape with hood. I love a pop of color when I wear black and neutral.
Out of all of my outfits this one is hands down my favorite. You ever have those days when everything works? This was one of those days. I got the striped top from ModCloth, but it seems to be sold out. I think this one would work just as well, if not better. The yellow skirt is also ModCloth and I adore it! I am obsessed with the color yellow (obviously) but I didn’t have a skirt in this hue. The boutonniere is from Etsy and the purse is Kate Spade (similar here). I bought the pumps eight years ago for my husband’s 40th birthday, which had a 1980s theme. Yes, those are costume pumps! But everything old is new again and they are my only pair of vampy white shoes. So I threw them on and I loved the way it looked!
As you can see I have been wearing a lot more modern pieces as opposed to vintage. I have noticed that the vintage I own and the new stuff I buy is starting to really fall apart. I am hard on my clothing and dont want to destroy too many vintage items, so I am saving those pieces for events instead of every day. However my retro style is still in effect.
