Yesterday I posted my daily outfits part 1 with five outfits from the past week. Here are a few more:
I’ve posted this outfit before when I wore it in Florence. It is so comfortable, especially when it is hot and even though it is October it has been HOT here in LA. The top is from ModCloth (similar here) and the skirt is a J.Crew dress that I am wearing as a skirt. I have been putting my hair in two braids but that day I wove a vintage scarf through the braids. Anyone interested in a tutorial?
All dressed up in this photo. I am even wearing a hat! The skirt is actually a dress from ModCloth. I love the dress but it is a little too revealing on the top until I loose a few more pounds. If you decide to buy the dress go up one size if you have boobs larger than a B cup. The black t-shirt is from Talbots and I love the cut and shape of it. I have about half a dozen of the shirts in black and then one is about four other colors. I often wear t-shirts with my vintage skirts because I spend a lot of time with the kids and/or doing messy activities like cooking or crafts and don’t want to ruin any vintage. The shoes are Betsey Johnson and the bag is new from Kate Spade but it was on sale and I guess it sold out!
I die for this hat. I purchased it while in Italy. My sister and I were walking down the street in Florence and I saw the hat in a window. I knew I wanted it but the store was closed until the next day- the day we were flying out! So before we went to the airport I rushed back to the store and it was open! I purchased the hat and then hand-carried it on the plane all the way back to Los Angeles. The belt and dress is very old Anthropologie (similar dress here).
You might remember this top from my occasional feature: You Got That Where? I think I need to bring that feature back. The skirt is old Anthropologie as is the belt. The bag is vintage and the shoes are Miss L. Fire sandals from two summers ago. However the rope bow necklace is still available from ModCloth.
Finally we had some cooler weather so I was able to wear my new plaid skirt with my new vegan boots. I am not a vegan, I just liked the boots. Now I am on the prowl for some great black boots. The belt is fairly new but the hat is vintage and I think I got it at Dorothea’s Closet. Finally, the necklace is from Shop Ruche and the purse is Kate Spade.
Wow! That is quite a few ensembles. I will try to take better photos when it gets even cooler and I am able to wear some of my fun new items, but until then I am loving how easy it is to quickly snap a shot as I am walking out the door.
