Well dolls, it is finally here! The new issue of Country Living has a feature on my home. Want to see a few snaps?
Here is the living room. They really did a lovely staging job. The couch is ours, the rest- not so much. But it looks beautiful!
To the right of the living room is our dining room. I have quite a large family and we often get together here and eat dinner together. My favorite part of the room is the wallpaper on the ceiling and the turquoise hutch. Notice the mirrored glass tile on the hutch.
To the right of the dining room is the kitchen with the eat in nook you see here. I have this nook decorated quite differently in shades of yellow and blue, not turquoise and blue, so it is fun to see it in a different way.
Here is our master bedroom, which is located upstairs. I wanted it to look like a tropical paradise, so I had all four walls wallpapered in this vintage looking palm motif. I had the floors stained navy blue which makes them look like water. I love laying on my bed with the french doors open, listening to the kids play outside while the palms seem to sway in the breeze.
All of these photos can be seen here. I went ahead and took some photographs of other pictures in the magazine:
Here I am by the front door. You can see more pictures of the foyer here.
Above you can see our kid’s bedroom. Toby, my 7 year old, and Ella, my baby, share a room. My other son Mason has taken over the ‘guest nook’ which you can see in the magazine. I think I will do a post just on the kid’s bedroom because there is a lot more of it then the beds you see here. Plus you can see how I decorated it for both a boy and a girl.
Finally, you can see the family on the front porch. I spend an excessive amount of time on the porch because Ella is obsessed with being outside. I will be doing a blog post on our garden in a few days. Oh, by the way, the dress is from ModCloth and it is still available! Though you cant really see them, the shoes are the green Betsy by Miss L. Fire.
And that my darlings, is my home as depicted by Country Living! I had a wonderful time for the two days they were here shooting. I hope you all have a chance to check out the issue and see the glorious photographs in person.

So what do you kittens think? Does it seem like somewhere The Glamorous Housewife would live? Which is your favorite room?
