Today is the Jewish holiday of Purim. I won’t bore you with the details, but one aspect of the holiday is we all give each other gifts of food. These are known as ‘mishloach manot’ aka: Purim baskets. I usually have a theme to go with my food gifts, and this year I created a ‘Cookie Decorating Kit’.
Knowing I will be making these Purim baskets, I search all year long for cute containers. This year I found these French Bull containers on sale at Michaels. I thought I would do something with a rainbow theme, but then I had the idea to do a cookie decorating kit and decided to go with that.
I found the colored sugars and jimmies at Michaels and the little colored dots are from the grocery store. I repackaged frosting into a cuter container, and then purchased the cookies from the bakery. But of course you could make them yourself. Then I lined the tin with some tissue paper and voila! A cookie decorating kit!
I think this would be a fun hostess gift, or just a present to brighten up someones day. Happy Purim!
